Randy | Official Woodchuck | Floor Enthusiast | Professional Floor Inspector | Part-Time Menace

With 35 years of experience around the flooring industry, Randy has established himself as one of the most knowledgeable—and most opinionated—members of the R&S Flooring team. As our resident woodchuck and unofficial mascot, he takes his role as a flooring expert very seriously… at least most of the time.

Randy knows flooring from top to bottom and has a particular talent for making sure things are done the right way. Whether it’s hardwood, carpet, luxury vinyl, laminate, or just about anything else that goes under your feet, Randy considers himself an expert in ALL things flooring.

What he enjoys most about being part of R&S Flooring is being around the team and, of course, keeping a close eye on everything happening around the office. He’s always ready to lend his expertise, offer an opinion, or make sure everyone stays on their toes.

When he’s not busy inspecting floors or supervising the R&S Flooring crew, Randy enjoys doing what any respectable woodchuck would do: absolutely whatever he wants.

With 35 years of flooring knowledge, a whole lot of personality, and a title nobody else can claim, Randy is truly one of a kind—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

General Manager | Design & Color Enthusiast | Team Builder | Proud Harry Potter Fan

With 7 years at R&S Flooring and more than 20 years of experience in operations management and merchandising, Alexis brings leadership, creativity, and a genuine love for people to her role as General Manager. Her experience includes management, customer service, interior design, customer relations, and vendor relations—all of which help her keep the many moving pieces of R&S Flooring working together.

One of Alexis’s favorite parts of her job is helping customers bring their vision to life. She especially enjoys helping customers choose flooring colors and design elements that pull a room—or an entire home—together. She also loves the R&S Flooring team and takes pride in being part of a group that works hard, supports one another, and knows how to have fun along the way.

Outside of work, Alexis enjoys cooking, decorating, tackling small house projects, and getting out on the water canoeing. She also happens to be a HUGE Harry Potter fan.  If you mention Hogwarts, wands, or anything magical, you may have just started a conversation you weren’t prepared for. Please don’t judge—she has chosen her house, and she’s sticking with it!

With an eye for design, a passion for people, and a slightly excessive enthusiasm for Harry Potter, Alexis is proud to be part of a team that makes customers feel taken care of and makes R&S Flooring feel like family.

Project Manager & Construction Representative | Hardwood Expert | Pet Enthusiast | Weekend Golfer

Since joining R&S Flooring in 2012, Ray has built a reputation for his knowledge of hardwood flooring and his commitment to helping customers bring their flooring projects to life. As a Project Manager and Construction Representative, he brings years of experience and expertise to every project he works on.

Ray considers himself a hardwood expert and enjoys helping customers navigate their flooring projects from start to finish. He takes pride in making sure customers understand their options and feel confident about the work being done in their homes.

But what Ray enjoys most about his job might surprise you: the pets! He loves meeting all the dogs, cats, and other furry friends he encounters while visiting customers’ homes. In fact, we’re pretty sure some of our customers’ pets are just as excited to see Ray as he is to see their pets. 

When he’s not working, Ray enjoys golfing, spending time with his kids, and traveling. He also enjoys getting his hands dirty in the garden, proving that his expertise extends beyond hardwood floors.

With years of flooring experience, a passion for hardwood, a love of meeting people (and their pets), and a life full of family, travel, golf, and gardening, Ray is a valued part of the R&S Flooring team.

Project Manager & Sales Representative | “The Beard” | Flooring Expert | Adventure Seeker

If you’ve been around R&S Flooring for any length of time, there’s a good chance you’ve met “The Beard.” With 11 years at R&S Flooring and more than 20 years of experience in the flooring industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to every project.

As a Project Manager and Sales Representative, he considers himself a true flooring expert—and after more than two decades in the industry, he’s certainly earned the title. From helping customers find the right flooring for their home to making sure projects stay on track, he knows flooring inside and out and takes pride in helping our customers make confident decisions.

What he enjoys most about working at R&S Flooring isn’t just the flooring—it’s the people. He genuinely enjoys working alongside our team and being part of a group that works together to get the job done right.

When he’s not helping customers transform their homes, Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife antiquing and searching for unique finds. But if he’s looking for a little more adrenaline, you’ll probably find him indoor rock climbing or skydiving. Apparently, regular ground-level activities just aren’t exciting enough.

And if that wasn’t unique enough, he also has a collection of oil lamps of all kinds. We’re not entirely sure when the collection started or how many he has, but at this point, we’ve learned not to ask too many questions.

With decades of flooring experience, a passion for helping customers, a love for adventure, a knack for finding one-of-a-kind treasures, and one unmistakable beard, “The Beard” is a valued part of the R&S Flooring team.

Flooring Consultant | Flooring Expert | People Person | Tennessee Explorer

With more than 23 years of experience in the flooring industry and over a year and a half with R&S Flooring, Trish brings decades of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people to every customer interaction.

As a Flooring Consultant, Trish knows flooring inside and out. After spending more than two decades in the industry, flooring isn’t just something she does—it’s something she’s been doing for most of her working life. Her experience allows her to help customers navigate their options, answer questions, and find flooring that fits both their home and their vision.

What Trish enjoys most about her job is the people. She loves working alongside the R&S Flooring team, but even more than that, she enjoys the connections she makes with customers. For Trish, helping someone choose flooring is about more than picking out a product—it’s about getting to know the customer and helping them create a space they’ll love.

When she’s not helping customers find their perfect floor, Trish loves exploring Tennessee. Whether it’s discovering a new town, finding a hidden gem, or simply getting out and seeing more of the state, she enjoys making the most of everything Tennessee has to offer.

And when it comes to having a good time, Trish is always ready for a concert. She enjoys concerts of all kinds, so her music taste is about as versatile as her flooring knowledge!

Scheduling Director | Customer Relationship Expert | Master Organizer | Gnome Collector

With nearly 2 years at R&S Flooring, Sabrina brings an impressive 30 years of experience in customer relations and order fulfillment, along with more than 10 years of project management experience, to her role as Scheduling Director. With decades of experience working with people and managing projects, she knows that keeping everything running smoothly takes organization, communication, and plenty of flexibility.

As Scheduling Director, Sabrina is responsible for coordinating schedules and making sure all the moving pieces of a project come together. She genuinely enjoys the challenge of scheduling and finding the best way to make everything work—especially when every day brings something a little different.

What Sabrina enjoys most about her job is the satisfaction of getting everything lined up and seeing a project come together. She also loves the people she works with and the relationships she has built throughout her career. Her years of experience have taught her that taking care of people and communicating well are just as important as keeping everything on schedule.

Outside of work, Sabrina enjoys diamond painting, golfing, and live music. She also happily admits to having a guilty pleasure for reality TV and crime documentaries. When she’s ready to relax, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find her enjoying one of her favorite shows.

But perhaps the most unique thing about Sabrina is her love of gnomes.  She’s also a big Wizard of Oz fan—so much so that her love of the movie has even led to her meeting some of the original Munchkins!

With decades of experience, a talent for keeping things organized, a love for people, golf, music, and a gnome collection that has a story of its own, Sabrina is an important part of the R&S Flooring team.

Delivery Driver | Road Warrior | Professional Heavy Lifter | Baseball Coach

With 3 years at R&S Flooring, Riley plays an important role in keeping our projects moving. As a Delivery Driver, he makes sure flooring and materials get where they need to go and takes pride in knowing the roads like the back of his hand. If there’s a route to be found, Riley probably already knows it.

One of the things Riley enjoys most about his job is that he gets a workout every day. Between loading, unloading, and making deliveries, he definitely doesn’t need a gym membership to stay fit. For Riley, getting the job done means staying active and making sure our crews have what they need to keep projects on track.

When he’s not behind the wheel, Riley enjoys relaxing with some good TV or spending time playing video games. But his biggest passion outside of work is baseball. Riley is a talented baseball player and also coaches a youth baseball team, giving him the opportunity to share his love of the game and help young players develop their skills.

Whether he’s navigating the roads, hauling flooring, swinging a bat, or coaching from the dugout, Riley brings plenty of energy and dedication to everything he does.

With a great knowledge of the roads, a strong work ethic, a passion for baseball, and a willingness to do the heavy lifting, Riley is an important part of the R&S Flooring team.

Warehouse Manager | Inventory Expert | Logistics Coordinator | Car Builder & Racer

With 12 years at R&S Flooring, Joe plays an important role in keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly. As our Warehouse Manager, he makes sure the right materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there—and that’s no small job in the flooring business.

Joe’s expertise includes inventory management, unloading trucks, organizing materials, and coordinating deliveries. He’s also pretty good at delegating, which comes in handy when there’s a truck to unload or a delivery that needs to get where it’s going. His attention to detail and ability to keep things organized help keep our crews moving and our projects on track.

What Joe enjoys most about his job is the people. Working in the warehouse means he gets to meet all kinds of people, and he enjoys the opportunity to interact with customers, employees, vendors, and everyone in between.

When Joe isn’t keeping the R&S Flooring warehouse running like a well-oiled machine, you’ll probably find him around something that actually has an engine. Joe enjoys racing and takes his passion for cars a step further by building and racing them himself. Because, managing inventory isn’t enough excitement!

With 12 years of experience at R&S Flooring, a talent for keeping things organized, and a serious passion for fast cars, Joe is an important part of the team—and one of the people working behind the scenes to make sure your flooring project keeps moving forward.

Master Stair Carpenter | Staircase Specialist | Wood Craftsman | UFC Fan

With 5 years at R&S Flooring, Robert has built a reputation as a talented craftsman and one of our go-to experts when it comes to stairs. As our Master Stair Carpenter, he specializes in staircase projects and brings a true craftsman’s attention to detail to every job.

Robert enjoys the hands-on nature of his work and takes pride in watching a project come together piece by piece. For him, there’s something especially rewarding about seeing the finished product and getting to see the homeowners’ reactions when their project is complete.

But what makes his work truly meaningful is knowing that what he builds can make a real difference in someone’s everyday life. One project that has stayed with him involved building a wall rail for a homeowner whose wife needed it because of her health condition. Knowing that something he built could make her life a little easier—and make things easier for both of them—was incredibly meaningful to Robert. It was one of those moments that reminded him that he’s not just building stairs and railings; he’s building things that can genuinely improve people’s lives. And yes, it even brought a tear to his eye.

Outside of work, Robert’s favorite place to be is with his family. He enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team and watching his children participate in taekwondo. He takes pride in being involved, cheering them on, and making memories together.

And when he finally gets a little downtime for himself, Robert is an avid UFC fan. After spending his workdays carefully crafting beautiful woodwork, he apparently enjoys watching other people solve their problems in a slightly more… physical way.

With a passion for woodworking, an eye for craftsmanship, a heart for his customers and family, and a love for a good UFC fight, Robert is a valued part of the R&S Flooring team.

Lead Painter | Painting Expert | Creative Problem Solver | Horse Show Enthusiast

With 3 years at R&S Flooring and more than 37 years of experience in the painting industry, Tom brings decades of knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship to every project. As our Lead Painter, he takes pride in his work and has spent years perfecting his craft.

Tom appreciates the independence he has at R&S Flooring. One of the things he enjoys most about his job is being trusted to go to work, do what he does best, and take pride in the finished product. That trust means a lot to him, and he returns it by putting his experience and attention to detail into every job he takes on.

When Tom isn’t painting, you’ll often find him working on projects around his own home or tackling some yard work. He also enjoys spending time with Tennessee Walking Horses and attending their shows. Clearly, sitting still isn’t really his thing!

Tom also has a creative side that extends well beyond painting. In his spare time, he enjoys working with wood and coming up with his own inventions. He likes figuring out how things work, finding ways to build something new, and turning an idea into something he can actually use.

With more than three decades of painting experience, a strong work ethic, a creative mind, and a love for working with his hands, Tom is a trusted and talented part of the R&S Flooring team.

Site & Fleet Services Technician | Mechanical Problem Solver | Skilled Driver | Coin Collector

With 3 years at R&S Flooring and more than 20 years of experience servicing vehicles, Kenny is the person our team can count on when something needs to be fixed, repaired, maintained, or simply figured out. As our Site & Fleet Services Technician, he keeps our fleet and equipment running smoothly and handles just about anything mechanical that comes his way.

Kenny’s experience goes well beyond routine vehicle maintenance. He’s an excellent driver, enjoys working on our fleet vehicles, and has a knack for diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues. He also plays an important role on our job sites, including handling the removal and hauling away of old flooring and demolition materials after a flooring tear-out. When it’s time to get the old flooring out of the home and off the job site, Kenny is the guy who gets it done.

What Kenny enjoys most about his job is the people he works with and the trust they place in him. He takes pride in knowing that his co-workers have confidence in his work and that they can rely on him to get the job done right.

When he’s not keeping the R&S Flooring fleet in shape or helping clean up a job site, Kenny enjoys getting outdoors. You’ll often find him fishing or riding dirt bikes—two hobbies that offer a pretty good change of pace from working on vehicles and keeping everything around the company running.

Kenny also has a unique hobby that might surprise you: he collects coins. Whether it’s an interesting find, an old piece of history, or simply a coin he thinks is worth keeping, his collection continues to grow.

With more than two decades of mechanical experience, a talent for fixing just about anything, a reputation for being a great driver, and a willingness to handle the dirty work that keeps our projects moving, Kenny is a trusted and valued part of the R&S Flooring team.

Accounting Director | R&S Flooring’s “Momma Bear” | Numbers Expert | Retired Nurse

With 9 years at R&S Flooring, Laura has had the opportunity to see the company from more than one perspective. She originally joined the team working in our showroom and helping customers, and today she serves as our Accounting Director, handling the numbers and keeping our financial side running smoothly.

Laura’s journey from the showroom to accounting gives her a unique understanding of our business. She knows what it’s like to work directly with customers, and she now uses that experience, along with her attention to detail and years with the company, to keep our accounting operations organized and on track.

What Laura enjoys most about R&S Flooring, though, has little to do with numbers. It’s the people. She considers the R&S Flooring team one big family and genuinely loves spending time with her co-workers. She’s always ready to laugh, have fun, and lend a helping hand—and as the oldest of the bunch, she has officially claimed the title of our “Momma Bear.”

When Laura isn’t keeping up with the books or making sure everyone at the office is behaving, she enjoys reading and going on adventures with her six grown grandchildren. She loves spending time with them and making memories together.

And then there’s Laura’s not-so-secret superpower: she’s a retired nurse. This means that whenever someone at the office starts feeling sick, has an unexplained ache, or suddenly becomes convinced something is terribly wrong, there’s one person we all turn to: Momma Laura. She may handle the accounting by day, but apparently she’s still our unofficial office nurse!

With 9 years of experience at R&S Flooring, a heart for her co-workers, a love for her family, and a natural instinct to take care of everyone around her, Laura is much more than our Accounting Director—she’s one of the people who helps make R&S Flooring feel like family.
